Hello again,
As I said in my previous comment, I sent my tick the box letter saying please cancel. I received my confirmation letter on Saturday 14.3.09.
All of the following is the wording from the letter:-
You have indicated that you wish to cancel your order due to the Company being unable to fulfil the order within a timeframe acceptable to you.
This letter confirms that your above order is now formally terminated.
If you signed a finance aggreement (which I did) at the time of placing your order then a finance cancellation request will be presented to your finance company.
If you are due a refund as a protected creditor for an amount paid to the company then the following will apply depending on the method by which you paid:
. Credit card or Visa card - request a refund directly from your card provider.
. Cash or cheque on or after 26 Dec. 2008 - A refund cheque will be arranged by the addministrators within 28 days from receipt of cancellation.
. Non Visa debit card on or after 26 Dec. 2008 - you will be contacted as soon as possible to refund the amount directly to your card.
Please allow us to take this opportunity to appologise again for any inconvenience caused.
Back to me;-
I will be keeping this letter in a safe place in case the finance company comes back at me. I hope my contribution is helpful and gives hope to those of you who have not had your 'letter' and people who paid by a different method to me. I would also like to thank all of you who's contributions helped me though my ordeal which appears to now be over.
I will watch to see how you all get on and now I am going to sit on my Harvey's (15% off) recliner which came last week.
Best of luck,
Fred, Blyth, Northumberland.
