I've since done some research and found Tesco Internet Saver and Capital at 6.5% to be the best alternative.

Anyone got any ideas what would be a good alternative.

I noticed this 2% cut in interest rates today; no email notification either. That was enough for me. I transferred out the bulk of my KE savings today. Why keep them in the now ailing ING bank with a recent history of offering poor interest rates? I noticed that ING have pulled the high yielding KE fixed interest bonds too.

I logged into my account earlier today and noticed they have now changed the interest rate lowering it to 4.55% AER (4.46 Gross). I expect they will be emailing all their customers soon. For me that is a bit low and will be looking to switch to another bank.

Kaupthing Edge now ING interest rates

What with interest rates starting to tumble this week, I logged on the my Kaupthing Edge now ING account to try and see if I'm still getting 6.55 %. However, despite having a link to other updates about the recent crisis, ING hasn't put up anything or e-mailed me about any interest rate changes. So, before trying to phone their call centre and no doubt have the pleasure of listening to "on-hold" music for 10 - 15 minutes, I thought I 'd see if any of you lot have heard anything?

    Cheers.
