    Joint Accounts

    Hi all,

Currently looking for the best possible deal for me and my soon to be wife for a joint back account. Was thinking of going with Barclays but are they any good or should I go with someone else?

    Re: Joint Accounts

    Hi,

I would recommend Lloyds. We have had nothing but first class service from them since we opened the account 18 months ago. They have branches everywhere and also have good opening hours. The internet and phone banking services are very good. And if you get an 'added value' account, you pay one monthly fee and both of you will get the benefits, which can be vast on some accounts. We pay £25 per month for a Premier account, and find it to be excellent, though they do start at £6 I believe. Also, because they are so big, the branches are well staffed unlike some other banks.

Their accounts don't pay as much interest as other banks, but you can transfer money in and out of some pretty good savings accounts instantly online.

    Rob
