    John Lewis Siemens Offer

I recently bought a Siemens fridge freezer from John Lewis in Nottingham. Great product but.......

There was an offer from Siemens of £100 cash back which I was informed in-store would be paid to me in the form of a pre-loaded card from Siemens. As I actually confirmed the order for the appliance over the phone to John Lewis nobody told me I should have applied to Siemens by completing a form. I had assumed all this would be done by John Lewis. I went back into the store after 5 weeks having not received anything. It was at this point was told I should have been given a form to apply for the money from Siemens. Reluctantly I went home and tried to do exactly that. The form required a number from the appliance that was not located in the position specified. I then wrote to the branch manager in Nottingham (Amanda Dammers) who passed my complaint to their complaint handling department. Between us we managed to locate a number in the product manual that looked vaguely like the one Siemens were asking for . I then go on line to complete the form but can find no link on the siemens-home web site to an application form. I called the complaints people again who are unable to help because they don't have access to the internet!

At this point I write to the Managing Director of John Lewis, Andy Street, seeking help (awaiting his reply).

Has anyone else had similar problems with this offer? The card being sent is from Visa but the T's and C's say there is no credit agreement to enter into, so I assume this is not just a marketing ploy to recruit new credit card users for Visa.
