    Its4me car insurance, never again

I had a problem on the motorway last weekend, I had a breakdown cover with this company, they were useless. I was waiting for 3 hours for recovery, and finally everything was OK thanks to Motorway assistance, because if not I would still be there. I paid for the assistance and they agreed to pay for it on a telephone conversation, the next day they change the mind, and shout at me on the phone being very rude, and never answering the questions I asked.

I wouldn’t recommend this car insurance to anybody. Its4me the worst car insurance I’ve ever had.

I'm a bit confused by your post, you talk about Its4me having a rubbish car insurance policy, but you're not talking about needing to use them for that - but for the optional extra you usually buy on top that is usually outsourced to someone else. I'm with sheilas' wheels and bought the breakdown cover as an extra for £40. But I know for a fact that it's Greenflag behind it not sheilas wheels. I don't think it's fair for you to slag Its4me off like that - you haven't need to claim for an accident or personal liability - but for a breakdown!!! I've just looked on their website now and the breakdown company is in fact the RAC. This is who they've teamed up with - so theoretically it's them that you've got the grip with surely??

I totally agree with you, Its4me, never again. Just tried to cancel my policy 10 days ago and following their instructions I wrote a letter saying why I want to cancel the policy. Called them again after being charged for another month and to my surprise it haden't been cancelled because they didn't understand my explanation. They are totally stalling so I have to pay even more money then what it's already costing me to cancel. To anybody that wants a new car insurance, use somebody else.

My fiance had the same problem. He sold his car and cancelled his policyby phone and in writing.  They charged him an extra months' premium and an 'administration charge' and due to their incompetence in not cancelling the policy when they were notified he ended up paying another month on top of that.

We have 6 cars in the immediate family, not one of them will ever be insured with its4me ever. It seems to us that once they've got you as a customer they just don't want to know about anything else except getting more money out of you. Surprisingly, both of my cars are insured with Barclays .... i was amazed when they beat everyone else's quotes hands down.

i agree with anne, for anyone looking for car insurance, go anywhere else except its4me, their customer service is non-existent.

im sure anne as you are aware, when u take out insurance it is for a year and not a couple of months. the insurance company are well within their rights to charge you the full 12 months, so its you and not them who should pay., after all thats how your premium is worked out. the longer you take insurance for the cheaper it is.   p.s. haden`t doesnt have an E!!!

Loubie, hate to sound patronizing but...............................................

Dont you think you are quite a sad and lonely person to have even of thought of such a reply, and it beggars belief that you even went onto the website to check the breakdown recovery who are responible????

Get a grip love, and leave the girl alone, she was merely saying how *** she felt when she had dealings with her insurance company, thats it in a nut shell......
