    Yes, they are quite entitled to reject the refund request for now and to try and get the item delivered. You need to be patient. In a couple of weeks, when either the second item will have arrived or not, you can either return the item within 7 days of receipt for a refund (under the distance selling regulations) or ask them to try and get the item delivered or ask for a refund.

    It is up to them if they want to keep trying to get the item delivered and, if they keep failing, you can ask them to use a tracked or a different delivery service. Obviously they can't keep doing this for ever but you can only insist on a refund either within 7 days of receipt or when it is obvious that they are not going to manage to deliver the item.

    since i posted on here i have had a reply saying that delivery should have been 2 days after it was despatched. that was the 19th April. they said that they would send another and as yet ive not had any conformation of the new one being sent. As i said in the original post, they do not have a number so getting hold of them has been very difficult. I have asked for a refund and they have said no. I have since purchased the item elsewhere as its nearly a month since the original order.

    The first job is to try to get your item. The retailer may prefer to send another one if the first has been lost in the post. You could also try writing but obviously, without a phone number, your other options are limited. Royal Mail will not consider an item as lost in the post until 15 working days after posting so you should not assume the worst until then. If the item was large, it may have been sent with a service other than Royal Mail.

    If nothing turns up and you can't make suitable progress contacting the retailer in the next couple of weeks, your next options should be to contact whoever you made the payment through. If you paid by credit card, you should be able to start the process to get the payment disputed then reversed through the card issuer. Other options include legal action through the small claims court but you will need the company's correct name and address for this.

    It may be possible to find a phone number through means other than the web site. Which company is it?

    Item hasnt arrived

    I purchased an item online on the 16 april. the item was listed as despatched on the 19th april. I still havent received the item. I have used there online form to ask were the item is and have had no reply. I have done this 3 times now. the website doesnt have a phone number only the online form. I have looked on google and found that other people have had the same problem as me with the same company. What can i do to get my money back?
