I've briefly spoken to Andy for you - who's very busy at the moment - but his thoughts are that you probably would need to make sure your car insurance cover included Business cover, rather than just Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) or Social, Domestic, Pleasure and Commuting (SDP&C). However, it's certainly worth contacting your existing insurer and checking their policy terms and conditions.

I have a normal insurance policy on my car for social domestic and pleasure. For my job, I supply bundles of local newspapers to distributors for them to distribute. For this I had to take out some extra condition on my policy which cost me about £25 last year or thereabouts. Now I am considering doing some couriering of parcels and packages only.

Do I need special car insurance to cover this?
