Is this possible? (regarding refund from supplier following switch)

Hi there, Cany anyone help with this?

we are in the process of switching from Atlantic gas and electric to E-on.

Recieved a letter yesterday with a bill breakdown that states that they owe US £777. We pay £59 DD and have been with this supplier since jun 04. How is possible to be owed such a large refund? It must be wrong surely?

Hi --- It's possible if you have been using less per month than your DD amount was set for and your usage has been under estimated over this period.

For instance you have been paying for around 48 months, if you divide £777 by the 48 months that your uage has been under estimated, then that works out that you have overpaid approx £16 per month on average for energy that you may have not used.

To be certain you need to see what the readings are on your meters now compared to what the meter readings on your bills are, if the readings on your meter are much lower than the numbers on your actual bills then the above may be a fact.

Yes it is possible but i would check that the final meter readings used are accuarate. As the last thing you want is to get hte money back and spend it -only to find out there's a mistake.
The answers I give you may not want to hear. The answers I give may not be easy. The answers I give will be the truth. If your prepared for this - ask away!
