    Misc:

Getting refunds on furniture can be difficult, so you need to get advice. A couple of links that might help.

    http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/after_you_buy/know-your-rights/furniture/#named1

    http://www.fira.co.uk/services/furnitureOmbudsman.html

There is EU Directive (1999/44/EC) which states that "a two-year guarantee applies for the sale of all consumer goods everywhere in the EU. In some countries, this may be more, and some manufacturers also choose to offer a longer warranty period."

You should speak to Consumer Direct and maybe also the furniture ombudsman. Then armed with the information on your rights, contact the company concerned.

Someone I know, had a problem with a refund for a bed. It took about 6 months to sort out. They needed to have the bed inspected by an independent body.

Is it possible to get a refund on a broken bed that's outside of the warranty?

    Hi guys

I bought a bed nearly a year ago & a few months back it broke, the frame is bent & unusable i phone the company & they said it's outside of the 30 day warranty so they can't refund but i've been told i have rights that cover me up to 1 year, is this correct. If so, may i have the information to proceed with the refund. I was told Dom Littlewood but can't find anything about it being a year, only 7 days.

    Regards

    Chris
