Interest doesn't count towards your limit - the limit is how much you add to each year and disregards interest.

Interest accumulations in a cash ISA

Just wondering if interest payments count towards your annual limit on a cash ISA? I currently pay £300 a month & now get paid interst on the amount monthly. Do these interst payments count towards my maximum £3600 per year I am allowed to save tax-free or is that counted as something different?

I am wondering if I should reduce the payments slightly?

    Thanks
