    Re: insurance pensionhelp

I would suggest you see (actually meet) an IFA.

If you do not understand what you have been told at the end of the meeting, that is his fault, not yours, and you need to meet the next one.

It's not hard, it's just not something you know, and as they say, once you know, it is easy.

    Good luck

    Re: insurance pensionhelp

Banks/building societies/independent financial advisors are falling over themselves to 'advise' you. Please remember they will give you 'acceptable advice' at worst which I would define as within the regulations but biased towards commission for them. This is very important for the two of you so I cannot stress how important it is for you to be on top of the subject so you can judge what is tip top and what is not. If you are not on top then you don't spot the pitfalls and don't ask the right questions. You can go to as many or as few free 'reviews' as you choose. The more then after each one you know more... Remember to play around with search terms you fancy in Google along the way. Legal and General are a big player in this field and their website can be helpful.

Moneysupermarket compares life assurance products and I imagine if they have anything to add or correct on the above they will be with you in the not too distant future.

    All the best.
