    insurance outside the UK

    Hi,

I am a UK citizen currently livng in Canada. I will be travelling around Canada and the US this summer for a little over 6 weeks - at the end of which I will be returning to England permanently -and was wondering if any had any advice regarding buying insurance outside my home country? I have looked at a few UK companies and most require you to have been resident in the UK for 6 months prior to travel start date.

Thank you in advance to anyone who can provide information

I found this on the web and they offer quotes from may companies with one search, make sure you select "Worldwide including USA" for the area covered. I am now expat myself and had encountered the same problems with the 6 months residency needed.

Another company to possibly consider is American Express, I think they should be able to cater for expats as well.

    Hi Emlea

You could also try expatriates cover via JBI Insurance, you can check their website for further details http://www.jbionline.com

    Hope this helps
