    Re: Im screwed! Help

Sorry to hear of your difficulties.  I'd consider selling the car and getting a lift to work with a colleague (or using public transport / cycling).  Sell any other readily-disposable items (CDs, etc.) on eBay.  Don't take on any more debt unless you really have to!

    Im screwed! Help

Hi please read and help me if you can. Any advice at all is welcome.

Im 19, earn around £1000 a month but have outgoings for the next 2 months of around £800 so not much left over a month at the moment. I currently have 2 overdrafts at £600 and £750 (-£1280 currently). I also took out 2 payday loans last month to get me through the month which i need to pay off this month to avoid further charges!

In 2-3 months time I will be ok with all my money, but at the minute i cant even afford my petrol to get to and from work.

I have rang the bank with my bigger overdraft and have sorted out a sort of repayment plan, but i think i will go over what i agreed to go down to (£950) somewhere inbetween my now and the end of january. The bank said they will take my debit card off me and make my account inactive until it was all paid off if i do this which would mean i was in really big trouble.

I did have a savings account but i purchased a car around a year ago and havent managed to get anything saved up apart fom the money i used for a holiday in the summer.

Im really worried that i will be left without any money as i am at the limit of my smaller overdraft and will not have any way of paying the bigger overdraft off apart from my wages which will all be gone within a day on paying off my overdraft. Im quite intelligent and have a lot of common sense but my immaturity and inexperience with these things have really messed me up. I went from having a good credit rating to a really poor one within 10 months.

I cant get a loan to pay them off and i dont want a credit card so i really dont know what to do.

p.s. when i said intelligent, English wasn't my strongest subject so if you can't understand what i mean or you want to know a bit more info then don't hesitate to ask.

    thanks in advance

    Mike
