I'm Confused with my Car Insurance Quote !!

    I worked in car insurance for 4 years, this is simply due to an increased risk of Personal Accident.

    In the event of a claim an injured child is deemed as high risk thus attracting a higher premium

    Having a child myself I never understood this as you drive safer, the only thing I would say is the distraction children cause us when driving!!

    Have you tried Swift cover, I have found them to be excellent!!

    Hi --- Only a pure guess...but they may also presume you are a greater risk, due to possibly being distracted by the children. ?

    I have recently had a quote from admiral.

    If i state i have no children under 16 my quote is £1480

    If i state i have children under 16 my quote is £1870 NEARLY £400 MORE

    Can anybody explain why this is i thought it would be lower as the company would presume you would drive more carefully with children in the car !!
