    @ tp andrews

I won't bother to report the obvious and obnoxious abuse directed at me by yourself as it serves as an excellent example of why the general public should simply shut their doors in the face of uneducated and ignorant spammers and scammers such as yourself.

However, if MS admin have any morals whatsoever, the only early death around here will be your forum presence. What a disgraceful and disgusting attitude from someone who supposedly deals with the public.

Be very certain of this; the internet is not the haven of anonymity that some might like to believe - The information that you have given here and elsewhere makes you in particular very easy to track down. Your employers will be made fully aware of your contributions here and someone may soon be knocking at your door.

Oh dear,Just rise above it.It's a few petty words. Not pleasant but probably more immature than malicious.

I did fall for petty jibes and I apologise for that. However, what I said regarding anonymity still holds true.

I forgot to add that the following may help you and others to retrieve meaningful line stats:

    t.p.andrews:

Problems that you have with talk talk ranging from calling Indian call centres to connection problems often are due to an out of date package. Talk Talk no longer have overseas call centre's they're based in Manchester, now I know it's no easier to understand a Manc than it is to understand an Indian but the thought's there!!

Talktalk do still have callcentres overseas

Re: I'm a Talk Talk Door Knocker

Look guys I started this thread to help. I only started the job because times were really hard and I would've been homeless had I not brought money in. I don't want sympathy before DaiYoung gets on his/her high horse again.

Comments made previous to this one by myself were petty but I thought it illustrated the frustration I was feeling after someone completely misunderstanding the point of why I started this and then continuously misunderstanding after numerous explanations.

I don't enjoy knocking doors and there is legislation in place and company policy to stop door knockers from selling to the vulnerable.

To clear these murky waters, I DO NOT WORK FOR TALK TALK as many of you seem to believe. Neither do I think that TT is the best thing in the world. I am going into my first house soon and I am keen to explore all my avenues. TT sales reps are put there to persuade and a good one will know when to stop because what's the point in continuing to pitch someone who's simply not interested? You could've got 2 sales in the amount of time taken to swing one.

I do agree that many door knockers are comission led and that's why they will continue to pester but just because one person may work in a big fancy office and 'earn' lots of money doesn't make that person a better person than anyone else.

As far as anonymity goes, it doesn't really bother me, hence why I left my personal e-mail and all you computer boffins can quite happily track me through that or my IP address or whatever, IT DOESN'T BOTHER ME. I left all my personal information here so that people having trouble could get through and talk to a PERSON and not a computer, get a real response and if I can't help you I'll use the resources available to me to help.

I have always wanted to help people and not to hinder but I did not start this thread to be subject to personal abuse.

Anyone still actually wanting help can still get hold of me but I advise those who want to have a whinge and slander not to post.

    Thank you

    Tristan,

    What a brilliant response.

I don't think the majority of postings were aimed at you directly and my comments about door to door salespersons was in the generic sense.I fully realise that is a legimate profession for anyone to pursue and you definately sound like someone who abides by the various codes of practice.

It's very easy to feel passionate about what is said here and things can get carried away. Both the protagonists have actually realised that is what happened and all for the good.Anyone reading your post will realise your knowledge in the area of BB and mobiles and hopefully you will stick around and share it further.

    Well done .

Re: I'm a Talk Talk Door Knocker

Stick around, i work for talktalk and i get plenty of flack from people on forums.  However when people realise your there to help them and not make things worse youll earn respect, especially off the people who have been trying to get theyre problems fixed for months and you can do it in a few days.  Of course just be carefull how much you help because it can be easy to step over the line with DPA and stuff.  And make sure what you say is factually correct, the truth isnt always what people want to hear but when all they have been told is lies previously it makes the world of difference.

    See you around

Re: I'm a Talk Talk Door Knocker

Hi to all, I have been reading all these comments and cant understand why some have to be so offensive,it started out with a light hearted letter and nearly ended up with someone wanting to commit murder-lighten up life is to short to fight over who provides the fastest connection,if you are unhappy with your service provider then change to another, they are all much or the same,.Talk talk door knocker dont take any notice of the ignorant, they cant help it-By the way I have been a contented TalkTalk customer since it started in April 2006 and I dont care who knows it-lighten up out there.

Re: I'm a Talk Talk Door Knocker

    Hello!

I am a Talk Talk cutomer and can honestly say that im so pleased that my quarterly bill has gone down from over £130 to only £64.  I also have the broadband package and I honestly dont care have many MB per sec im getting, it's faster than my old 56K modem so im pleased as punch.  The service is no worse than BT and I had no problem switching.

As I am a computer programmer for a living I spend a lot of time in forums seeking tips and advice from people who have the knowledge I require or just a different point of view.  It makes me laugh how quickly some people can drag an innocent forum subject into some self obsessed rant.  Yes you Mr. or Mrs. Dai Young.  Seems that if someone has a difference of opinion or not as much knowledge as you then you get all tossy with them.  The forum subject was very informative to me and therefore to see you get all particular is embarrassing.  You obviously need to get yourself a girlfriend and stop reading so many tecky books.  You may even enjoy yourself and not feel the urge to go on personal crusades.  You enjoy cyberspace, im off to my girlfriends tonight..............WALLY

Re: I'm a Talk Talk Door Knocker

I live in the south west and my business is dependent on broadband 'up' time. Having used Talk Talk privately, I could never recommend them to anyone beyond the private consumer who is not too bothered about service levels. The problem area in the south west is that there is not a lot of money in the endemic population and it is an easy sell to anyone who does not know the pitfalls of Talk Talk (as well as other ISPs).

I've said it once, and I'll say it again, you may pay more for BT but they are the ones who own the lines that run under 99% of the UK and ultimately they are the ones who will have to fix a problem if it happens. No ISP can offer you higher speeds than BT on BT land lines - if they say that they can ask the question "How, if you use the same lines?"

As of last week, my business has 'rescued' over 100 pensioners and home users from mis-sold Internet Service Contracts here in the south west and I will continue to hound sales people who do not tell the whole truth about selling on price alone. Service quality is far more important and I'm sorry to say that Talk Talk is just that - no action, just vague promises backed up by lousy service once they have your contract in their sweaty palms.

Don't knock on my door - you will not be welcomed!

    SHARK!

For every positive action, there's an equal and opposite government plan.

Once again I find myself having to explain what this thread is about, here to help, not to reply to people just wanting to whinge.
