Hi Stephanie,
Don't worry, it's all really easy! Here is what will happen after you've placed your order:
1. You'll receive a welcome email straight away to confirm your order and a hardcopy welcome pack will follow in the post.
2. When we know the date that your service will go live we will email you that information along with your connection information. The connection information will include your broadband username and password. Your broadband username will end in @go-broadband.com. Although it looks like an email address, it's purely for the purpose of connecting to the Internet.
3. A day or two prior to when your service is expected to go live you should receive a router from us. If you've opted for the free router, this will be the Voyager 210. The Voyager 210 has an Ethernet and a USB connection. If you've got an available Ethernet port on your computer I would recommend using this over the USB port. The Ethernet port looks kind of like a telephone port, just a little bigger.
The router will arrive with a CD that has the program on it which will make it so that your computer can use the USB connection. If you're going to use the Ethernet cable as your means of connection you do not need to run this software.
If you're using the USB cable to connect go ahead and run the software and it will prompt you entirely through set up.
If you're using the Ethernet port to connect, simply connect the Ethernet port from the router to your computer (make sure that the router is also connected to a power supply and your master telephone socket). The in your web browser menu bar type in the address: http://192.168.1.1 . You'll then be prompted to enter the broadband username and password that we sent you on email.
Just please make sure that you have 1 microfilter fitted to every phone socket that is in use. 2 microfilters will arrive with your router.
Please also make sure that you have the router located off your master phone socket and that you aren't using a long telephone extension cable in conjunction with the router.
And the first 10 days we're testing your line just to see what the max stable rate is, your speeds may fluctuate during that time but that's normal.
That's really about all there is to it!
Of course I check this forum every weekday so if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to post again.
Kind regards,
Samara
