How to rejuvenate a washed blanket?

My boyfriend spilt beer on my favourite blanket/throw last week (mistake no. 1) while I was away so put it in the washing machine (mistake no.2) on a normal wash (mistake no. 3) and forgot to get it out when it was done so it sat wet overnight before it was aired dry (mistake no. 4). As a result of some or all of these mistakes has left my previously light, fluffy blanket all heavy and nasty to touch.

Does anyone know of any way that it could be re-fluffed and saved? I think it's some kind of polyester/wool blend.

I read on another website that washing it with vinegar might work, has anyone ever tried this? Other than that I was thinking maybe professional dry cleaners might be able to fix it somehow but I don't really know much about that.

    Any suggestions much appreciated!!
