    YOU TERMINATE THE SERVICE THE SAME WAY AS YOUR TELEPHONE. IF UNDER 12 MONTHS ( MOST CONTRACTS ) THEN U WILL HAVE TO PAYFOR TERMINATION. IF THE NEW OCCUPANTS WANT TO TAKE IT OVER THEN CONTACT SUPPIER TO TRANSFER TO THEM. THE SUPPLIE PROVIDED A CEASE AND INSTALL JOB SO YOU ARE REMOVED AND CHARGED UPTO LEAVING AND NEW CUSTOMER TAKE OVER FROM THEN.

    IF POSSIBLE ITS A LOT EASIER FOR BOTH PARTIES TO BE TOGETHER WHEN CONTACTING SUPPLIER SO THAT ALL THE JOBS ARE ISSUED TOGERTHER. THEY WILL HAVE TO SETUP THIER OWN INTERNET SECURITY AND THE NORMAL SECURITY ON THE SYSTEM WITH SUPPLIER.

    IT ALL A QUESTION OF SOMEBODY IN A OFICE TYPING THE DETAILS IN THE COMPUTER. NO ENGINEERING WORK AT ALL IS REQUIRED SO THIER SHOULDN'T BE ANY TIME DELAY. BUT USALLY ASK FOR 1 WEEKS NOTICE FOR THE PAPER TRAIL TO START AND FINISH

    How to be a good broadband citizen

    Can someone tell me the best way to terminate my broadband service at my current house, as I move to a new address. In other words do I need to get a MAC from my current ISP and give it to the purchasers of my old house, or should I just terminate the line/service and let the new occupants do whatever they can?

    Its just that I've heard that if I do not terminate my broadband service properly it can take weeks for the new residents to get up and running - I'd like to make it as easy as possible for them ...
