I think it is very important to look at "About Us". You may want a company that has the tacit approval of a leading switching site where the company is not a fly by night company and has been going for perhaps three years or more.

"CHEQUE BACK PROMISE - Like the vast majority of online offers that are out there, ours too are done via redemption. When you buy a new handset from Simply3G we guarantee to pay your cheque back claim**

There are many websites offering deals on contract phones that seem too good to be true, but they more often than not make it very difficult to claim the cheque back or simply disappear when your payment is due.

** Cheque back cheques are paid according to our simple to follow terms and conditions of the specified offer (details on how to claim your cheque back are viewable from our help desk area situated on the left hand side of every page of our website). cheque back claims require specific airtime bills to be sent in within 30days of claim date to qualify for payment."

Hi Cath, did you see Watchdog tonight, on the 28th of November. They had customers who had a lot of complaints, about this company, and that they had gone into liquidation, like you said. And that it would be very difficult for the customers, to get there money back. I really do hope they got this wrong, and you get what you are entitled to. Good Luck again.

Thanks again for your advice. I have rang trading standards and guess what the mob.com or mobile solutions as it is called has gone into liquidation. They have advised me to pass all my information onto North Yorkshire trading standards where the company is based. I told them that I find it hard to believe that this company is still trading on the net. I also range Network 3, I did not let on what I I had learnt from trading standards. They again informed me that they no longer trade with this company but did not tell me why. They have taken my phone number this time and advised me that they will ring me back after they have spoken to a manager. I am still waiting for the call, but I will let you know the outcome.

May I advise all users of mobile phones not to get involved with this company or order anything on line as they have ceased trading.

Hi Cath, I wonder, if it would be worth, getting hold of Watchdog, with John and the other people he knows. Its absloutely appalling what this company is getting away with. Not only has it cost both of you time and money for phone calls, your just being ignored. Could you try Trading Standards, or Citizen Advice who sometimes have solicitors on there premises. or Legal Services, who offer Legal Advice free. Or if you have house insurance you may have a Policy which includes free Legal Advice, and I believe a Solicitor. All the best to both of you.

Re: how do i complain about a supplier of a mobilie phone who has now breeched the original contract

Thank you very much for help. I did post a letter in early November and I also faxed this letter. Ten days after the sending the letter I did manage to speak to someone who told me that the complaint was being dealt with. A couple of days after this I rang 6 times but I wait in a cue and then it rings again. I did ring network 3 who have also logged my complain, they told me that they do not deal with the mobs.com or mobile solutions as it is also named but they have also asked for an explanation from the company. I cannot believe that these companies can get away with what they are doing. They owe me £165 which should have been paid in october, but unfortunately my contract does not run out until April when I will again have to send in the voucher to claim by other £165. I will let you know how I get on. Thank you once again for your help

These phone Companies, have a complaint dept in there offices. I would write to them, photo-copy the letter, get it sent by the chepest post to record it, they will have to sign the other end for the letter, and you have proof of sending. I believe you have to give them a chance to rectify there mistake. Its really annoying and expensive to try and phone these companies, when they will not answer the phones. You could also phone Ofcom on 0845 456 3000 or Othello 01925 4300 49. I hope these are the right numbers. These are phone regulators and have helped me out a great deal, they have been absolutely brilliant. Good Luck.

Re: how do i complain about a supplier of a mobilie phone who has now breeched the original contract

I have had the same type of problem with a Network 3 mobile phone, which was contracted through their agent Choose 3, who are connected to Mobile On-line Solutions and part of the Carphone Warehouse Group. It took me 5months to get my half year Cashback and I have been currently waiting 4 months for my final Casback. I contacted Choose 3 on numerous occasions, until I realised that they were just deliberately telling lie after lie and pocketing the proceeds of their Premium Line telephone number. I contacted Network 3, who initially pretended to be trying to help and appeared to be surprised that their was a problem with their agent but did not accept any responsibility. I know two other people with the same problem. I then resorted to writing threatening letters by Recorded Delivery to Choose 3, with a copy to Network 3, advising them of potential Small Claims Court Action. I am now reaching this stage again. By the way they have never replied to any letters.

This scenario is different to your problem, although it would not surprise me if they liquidated Choose 3. I am also looking for a forum where these scams and scandals can be broadcast. It would not surprise me if the people controlling the Carphone Warehouse are also directly or indirectly connected to Network 3. Hope you have more success than me.

how do i complain about a supplier of a mobilie phone who has now breeched the original contract

I order a mobile phone from the mobs.com on 3 network. Cashback has not been paid. Tried phoning the company for the last 3 days, rang 3 network who have informed me that they no longer deal with the mobs.com and they cannot get in touch with them. Cashback due again next year. How do I complain, or how do I get in touch with them
