How do i cancel an order for bt broadband

recently had my line terminated by bt because i wouldn't pay for over 3000 0845 numbers that had suddenly appeared on my bill (subsiquently this took them over 6 months to investigate, but hey what can you expect from the UK's biggest supplier, good customer service?).

I have just had the line reconnected and tried to order, sky broadband's 16Mb for a shocking £10 per month, only to find that there is a "tag" on my line.

I was informed by the sales department that BT wholesale need to remove the tag spoke to them to find a new order in place and it was due to be activated on the 18th.

i have tried and tried to stop the service but keep being fobbed off and starting to get perturbed.

BT wholesale finaly spoke to bt for me and they said that the tag will be removed after 48 hours.

i have absolutly no faith in bt and really need to no what to do before they lumber me with a 12 month contract

    HELP

Re: How do i cancel an order for bt broadband

This does not make any sense at all. You ordered BT Broadband  (according to the title) yet you say in the thread that you now ordered Sky Broadband and couldn't get it because it was tagged by BT. So who did you order broadband with, BT or Sky?

Sky's £10 per month is "shocking" is it - you do live in the real world! You'll find that Sky's service is shocking - just read the forum ...

Oh, we're back to another order with BT due for activation on the 18th ...

3,000 numbers on your account and it took 6 months to investigate - hmmm ...

Look, this all sounds like a complete mess to me because I cannot see where you are going with this and with whom you are actually doing business. I'd love to help, but this all makes no sense at all.

    SHARK!

Re: How do i cancel an order for bt broadband

I feel that you may have a biased view on BT.  There is no part of my thread that says I placed an order for broadband with BT.  All I asked BT was for them to reconnect my phone line.  Which shocked as I was they did.

3000 0845.  This started in February and at that point there were only 297, which was quite unusual seen as though the time of the calls were not of my usual hours of being either in the house or awake.  19th august I finally got a response as to what the number was and who owned it, turned out to be another part of BT. I was told that until the query had been resolved I would not be expected to pay the cost of them calls. One day after they terminated my line.

Furthermore I personally have never had a bad word to say about sky.  If people have then so what.  Of 12 months of being a sky customer I have had to ring them twice. Once was to change my direct debit details the second was to get sky+.

I do honestly feel that you misinterpreted my post.  I was asking for help.  Not some sarcastic moron trying to make me look like a prat.

I am in need of help from people that have similar experiences.

    Many thanks
