    Home Insurance short-term lets

Please can you help me? I currently let my house out for 2 very short term lets during the course of a year and need buildings and contents cover that will cover the 3 week period (2 separate lets - 1 in July/Aug and 1 in Sept). I don't need rental income cover but obviously need to cover the property for accidental damage and all our furnishings inside. The lets are arranged through an agent so bonds etc are held for small damages and the tenants are generally serious sailing team members attending Cowes (Isle of Wight) main sailing regattas. Is there a policy that will allow me to do this or can I run a landlord policy for say 6 weeks and then cancel it? Please help!!

    Re: Home Insurance short-term lets

Have you asked your Home Insurers if they can cover this?

If you have and they cannot help speak to a local broker as they probably have dealt with this before for other local residents and will know which Insurers are happy to offer cover
