Swinton will only seek to place this type of risk with Towergate. This isn't a bad thing because Towergate are a very good company but Swinton are not. It would be better to seek the assistance of a proper brokerage rather than one that purports to be one but has bias reasoning to place at only one doorstep!

I'll guarantee it will be a much faster and more well looked after account.

    Hi

Most insurance companies will ask a question about subsidence and underpinning, and price accordingly.

I can only suggest you try one of the larger brokers such as Swinton or Endsleigh who have access to a range of insurers and premiums that in some cases are exclusive to them, one of which should hopefully give you a premium more in line with your expectations.

    Home Insurance for Underpinned Houses

I own a small house in Surrey which was underpinned 15 years ago. I've searched hard for cheap home and contents insurance but have always struggled to find alternatives. Can you offer advice and suggest some companies? We have had no issues with the underpinning since it was done 15 years ago. Thanks GDW.
