Re: Holidays this year? Who's going where?

The old one at home has been to the far east and has said it is very "sick " out there and he would not advise our lads to go there on holiday unles they were going to stay stone cold sober or have someone watching their backs at all times.

Sadly it is a very beautiful part of the world being exploited by the vilest of people. After all its the part of the world that Gary Glitter went running off to, no further explanation needed.

I quite agree RGB.  I was only joking with you.  I seem to have got the wrong end of the stick.  Sorry never been to this part of the world so didn't fully understand what you meant.  However, judging by your last reply I think I'm getting the picture.

    RGB:

It's full of old men preying on young boys offering a 'massage' for a payment.

What if it was young girls preying on young boys offering a 'massage' for payment?

I think this conversation is getting far too sick!?!

Anything with 'young' in it, is vile.

    You sound scarred, RGB.

    Scarred or Scared?

Nope. I'm sure it has a lovely beach and sunshine... just not for me. Goa is the same.

len:Why not try going on holiday in my country, Philippines?  Philippines have a lot to offer, lots of fresh seafoods and  very cheap cost of living...   Good luck and enjoy!!!

Re: Holidays this year? Who's going where?

I love the Greek Islands. We try to go to a different one every year, but it is getting very difficult for me to travel on an aeroplane as I have difficulty in walking and I am rather large in size now and have to squeeze into the plane seats. It is most embarrasing when you can't move about with ease.

Anyway enough of my moaning. When our children were young , we used to take them camping to the south of france, what an adventure. Loved it. I can understand your excitement. Have a good holiday!

Re: Holidays this year? Who's going where?

Thanks for that Indie, figure if you don't ask you don't find out.

All is well here, beautiful weather and on 5 weeks holiday. Not missing my "boys" yet!!!

Oh well by the 6th Sept will have them half undressed again!!

A friend that i have known since i was 3 ( not saying how many years that is)  is staying locally to me and we have spent the week catching up. Went to Cornwall for the day and had a fabulous time bodyboarding and chilling out, just great. The lovely thing is her 2 girls and my 3 boys all get on really well together which is great.

Him indoors and her chap get on well too so what more could you ask for.

HAve a great weekend but i think the weather is breaking, just as the tan is developing!!

Re: Holidays this year? Who's going where?

    Hi DD

Benalmadena is in Spain.  Not sure where exactly.  The reason I know this is because my friends have a place there and are off at every opportunity, half term, etc.

Apparently, it's really nice.  It's quite hilly where they are but they love the climate.  Apparently, there's a lot of brits who own places near to them so it's like home from home.

I've been invited out there a few times but never been.  This could be something to do with the fact that they want us to shack up with them and they have four children, in a two bed appartment!!!  I'm hoping to give it a go sometime soon though but I think I'll investigate accommodation at hotels nearby first.  Hope all's well with you.

Battierbabs, do you have a place there?

Re: Holidays this year? Who's going where?

This year ive already had a week in Benidorm in may,a week in Benalmadena in march and10 nights in Benalmadena in june. Also a weekend in Benalmadena in feb which was probably colder than being at home. Im going to Benidorm in sept for 2 weeks then a long weekend in Benalmadena in oct,a week in Benidorm for fiesta in nov and back to Benidorm for new year(something ive never been able to do because of work).I have a no frills airline to thank for all of these opportunities to go away and long nights sitting at the pc when we know the new flights are due on so we can be in first.
