my Father-in-Law is having difficulty getting travel Insurance at either a good rate or being turned down flat by some insurance companies.
Is there a insurance company that specialises in cases like this.
He has had major surgery for pancreatic cancer and got through that ok and then followed that with a course of chemo-therapy. And now he is being told that there is no sign of cancer according to all the tests that they have performed on him and his Specialist and Doctor have informed him that he is now fit to travel.
He has always been a fit man in his life and was a referee in his spare time and this was partly attributed to the fact that he made such a speedy recovery!
I am wondering if anyone had experienced similar problems in cases like this.
One quote he has received wanted £400 for a one-off trip for two weeks in Egypt, which on the face of it seems very exspensive.
We need to get this resolved as soon as possible as this was supposed to be a Family holiday in the sun and a treat for the Father-in-law after all what he has been through.
Any help is very much welcome.
