    UPDATE

    If anyone was interested.

We got a reply from Budget, who offered to cut the charges to about £77 quid if they weren't renewing. I composed a second reply for parentals as they'd contacted the bank who confirmed no payment had been refused and in fact no request for a payment was ever attempted. Parents sent suitably stinging letter off and in the end had to pay only 16 quid!

    SIXTEEN!!!!

That was the time on cover whatsit.

So when someone said the £112 wasn't just "admin" fees and parents weren't being honest about the renewal not being received and payment bounced - well yes they were admin fees and we won!
