I assume you have done a 1/2s and 1/3s return... you are obligated to keep the car in resonable condition for the age... .. you can ask for a full report.... I would suggest that if you bought the car with some defects ask the dealer if they have the original appraisal of the car when you bought it detailing any damage.

Otherwise they do have a right to charge.

Hi,

I recently terminated a hire purchase agreement by bringing my payments up to 50% of the total amount and returning the goods.

The finance company are trying to charge me £1900 for several scratches on the vehichle and for a service as I have not kept any documents relating to this.

Where do I stand if they decide to take me to court? The vehicle is 7 years old and has covered 95,000 miles. I returned the vehichle in February and this is still ongoing.

Please help!!!!!
