I am a home owner (with a mortgage) i live with my partner who pays me rent.

I also have 3 tenants who also live with me, i rent the rooms to them. They are my friends but i've come to realise insurance companies don't see it this way.

I'm having loads of trouble trying to get insurance, it seems that either companies won't except i have three lodgers/tenants because of high risk or they tell me to get landlord insurance. When i look into landlord insurance it doesn't seem applicable because i actually live at the property myself.

All the furniture, sofa's beds, tv's etc are mine in all rooms they are not owned by my lodgers

Please help!
