I think if you look at the site in question, even they can't guarantee all accounts if you've got an IVA. Perhaps you would prefer they tried walking on water.

As for charging, I was happy to pay. If you're not: don't. I guess it's just what value you attach to it. And they're a business after all, keeping people in jobs etc. Is that a crime all of a sudden?

Oh yes, for a £100 fee... you can have a current bank account with a 'leading high street bank' opened on the day.

Don't believe it for a second... I'm on an IVA and I can't even get a solo card.

 Instead of charging people why don't you share your 'inside knowledge' for free?

I've found it, finally. They opened a Gold account for me even with my bad credit, same for a friend of mine too! (He's got an IVA and CCJs etc)

I wouldn't bother getting a basic bank account. They're, well, basic - and not much use if you want to live a normall life (cheque book, cash card, direct debits etc etc). I had similar problems due to very poor credit history and used a company to introduce me to a bank (remaining nameless...). Even with my bad credit and having moved a few times in recent years I got a Gold Account, cheque book, debit card etc. I'm not ashamed when I'm out with friends now, they all think I'm loaded with a great credit history. I'll dig out the company details and post them in the next week or so. I can't recommend them highly enough: it was really easy and quick - the account was opened in less than a week!
