Hello,

I am a landlord and i have my old tenants trying to take me to court as they do not agree with where money has been spent when they left the property.

The property was vacated in March and i had to replace carpets, top up oil, clean the house, windows and get a gardener in. I ahve reciepts and pictures of the house in teh condition it was left before and afterwards and have sent these to the tenants. They have advised that they are still taking me to court as they do not believe that it was used correctly.

I did not put the money in the goverment scheme as i was unaware of this at the time, and may get back lash from this.

They tenants do not have a reciept for teh cash depsit paid nor do they have a copy of the agreement, can they still take me to court?
