    Also worth noting.

On 22nd July 2009, Hallmead Services Ltd were listed in the Companies Court lists for a winding up order. I understand that Heathrow Engine centre is part of Hallmead Services Ltd. I don't know how this affects the people on this thread if the winding up order was granted.

Nice One Huckster - good news about the arrests !!!

This is probably why we haven't seen so many posts from their "happy chappy customers" harping on about the great engines they have had from HEC.

Made my day, I'll have a drink to that...hic!

This verifies what we have all been saying: Anyone see the headline on a national newspaper a couple of days back? Something like "Pirates in the English Channel" Don't suppose it was the bosses of Heathrow Engines making a dash for freedom? Headline should have read "Pirates run aground in Southall"? I'm not much of a drinker but even I'll get out the bubbly!!!

Huh? [:^)] Re: Heathrow Engine centre/Engine Warehouse Ltd

    landrover2009.

Are you waiting for your UK work visa to be cleared before you can go back to work on those engines? Were you one of the Southall 10 ?

Perhaps a change of company name will help? Do you know what the new company name will be yet?

I have read on some of thease posts that they have been going for 25 years. This shows that they are very diturmined to stay in bissnes. rather than slagging them off on this site why dont you all let them knwo how they can improve there service.

I dont think you will eva put them out of bisness. they look like they are very diturmind people. And if they have been going 25 years they arnt just going to pack up over a sily little blog are they.

Am not attacking you. You have every right to post your opinion of the service you have received from the company.

If you read through some of the posts on this site and others, you must have some sympathy for those that have had a bad experience. Many have lost thousands of pounds and some say they have been physically threatened.

If you look at the history of this company it does make you come to the opinion that they are not trading in a way that is likely to maintain trusted long term relationships with its customers.

Na Zdrowie! ( Which I understand means Cheers)

It's a shame that HEC work is not to the same quality as that of the Polish Mechanic who used to service my car for some 5 years, he was charging reasonable prices too - unlike Mickey, Pluto and Co at Southall.

Re: Heathrow Engine centre/Engine Warehouse Ltd

There is a difference between running a business with the same name for 25 years and running one which over that period of time has probably set up a new limited company every six months to a year to avoid all the CCJ's that have built up over that period. The only determination that these people have is to relieve as much money as they can from as many people as they can. This spelling lark of yours? to me, you must put more effort into not spelling the words correctly than if you did. As for letting you know how to improve your service, we keep telling you, when you give the original quote, be honest about how much the job is going to cost, then lets see them still stacking up outside waiting to come in. For someone who has no connection to these people whatsoever, this site seems to take up far more of your time than the average interested bystander.

They sure are determined to stay in "business"! It's the nature of their "business" borne out by a consistant record of voluntary liquidisation that bothers me. As I have previously stated any good company listens to its "customers" and "improves", which is the point you make. If this company "listens" to its customers, then why have they apparently not "improved" after all the complaints they have been getting since I had the misfortune to use them three years ago?
