seems we are getting back on track.after the threads going missing last week.i phoned moneysupermarket and they said there server was down? just makes you think computers are funny things.i have spoken to met and they are also getting back to me.lets all stick together to get these cowboys from ripping good people off.

I keep seeing new posts about Heathrow Engine Centre. I hope abcdefg does not have a point as this company has been dissolved many times under different names. The company Hallmead Services Ltd of which Heathow Engine Centre appears to be a part, is in the process of being struck off as accounts have not been filed.

I have not read every post on this thread. Has anyone who has used Heathow Engine Centre and paid by Credit Card, claimed reimbursement from the Credit Card company? If so, the CC company will be interested in the Police reference number and may also join in the action if they are not doing so separately.

I have never used HEC and never would. Luckily I have a long established independent garage around the corner from me, who will beat any other quote given for any type of repair/rebuilds.

I have read other posts on other forums, where refunds have been obtained from CCC's. This may be the case for posters to this site. If so, the CCCS's may be interested in any Police action.

Anyone viewing who used a credit card for all or even part of the monies WILL have a good chance of obtaining a full refund from Credit Card Company - section 75 consumer protection act applies - faulty goods etc .

-- those who have paid by debit card may also have a claim , particularly if has VISA -- Do the research it is out there...

The monies can come from the credit card company / bank or building society who then chase the company who supplied the faulty goods - crap engine - or provided an inadequate service.

Chargeback is the scheme check it out.

hi was wondering if u solve the problem with that comapny we just got this same problem they charge about 1370 pounds and car looks like and works like they never done anything they kept it for 3 weeks when they promise be done after 5 days from the moment they pick it up i just send the story over watch dog cause i know they was doin program abhout this comapany already ages from what i have been told hope they will help all of us cause i will not leave this till i get all my money back but my partenr is not consider to do it cause he want to send car over them that many times as possible till will get back perfect but i dont know if is worth it please get touch with me asap

Hello. First of all, if you have got your car back and it works, it is a miracle. Secondly, I would suggest you get an AA inspection carried out against the work schedule/quote they sent you in the first place. Once you have the report, at least you will know what was done opr not and then you would be in a position to decide whether to go back to them or not. i suspect you will find you have been stitched up like the rest of us in which case your best bet would be to call teh Met at Southall. Some of us have not been so lucky and despite paying a fortune never got our cars back!

Well done! If everyone who has been wronged by these people make a big effort and reports the matter to th same Met office at Southall Police station, the pace will pick up and things will start happening. I now have the email address for the officer in charge but it would appear that the police asked the moderator not to allow any personal details or personal phone numbers to be displays. For that reason I took the information out of the TradedRights (details on the profime by clicking on top keft corner of this post) blog. However, i would be more than happy to pass on any emails by forwarding them to the contact at the met if anyone wants me to.The best course is obviously for each person to make their own complaint but to teh same office, thereby helping the Met get a clearer picture and a correct impression of the sheer scale of this fraud.

Agreed re contacting police and have done so but remember - earlier post by me re credit card/ debit card for ANY PART of payment could achievee full refund from bank etc who will pursue this lot .

Anyone looking on and deciding - this company are an absolute shower - forget web sites / nice on phone and remember - absolute shower..................believe it........

why cant anybody stop the con men from advertising on the internet.... close the WEB site down..... thats how they got my car infact they still have my car, did you know the heathrow engine centre garage they work from have no advertisements boards displayed outside so they must be so embarrassed about the circus they run.

i have got my car back today they cannot find out what mph engineering have done to my car?short of stripping it down which will cost me more moneys. ispoke to my credit card company and they have told me that they are dealing with it. i am selling it for scrap tommorow i just cant afford to waste anymore money i have lost about 3.000 pounds so far.i just feel sick at the way they have treated me. and feel sorry for all the other people they have ripped off. as i said iam disabled and need my transport to get about these people should be locked up. mind you i think most of them have .i canot take it back to them as they abuse you all the time. i wiil stick by any of you with the police until we get a result
