    Pretty much as you say, just sign and date and fill in the mode of payment i.e. the denomination box whether cash or cheque. If in doubt ask the cashier in the bank to make sure that you have filled it in correctly.

    Hi folks, I have an outstanding balance on the above card of £3,269 which I want to pay off in full now. I dont have a halifax account. On my statements I get the Bank Giro Credit. Can i use this to pay the total amount and how do I actually fill it out?

    Do I just date it & Sign it?
