    Re: Green Flag breakdown cover

    Thats whats confusing me

Whilst my renewal mentions ZERO ncd - the new policy (if I restart as a "new" customer) does not allow for any NCD - but starts at about £3 more than my renewal costs (but with £30 cash back is cheaper).

Shame they don't work from bank direct debits rather than debit cards - much easier to cancel !!

    Re: Green Flag breakdown cover

    Twee:

My annual motor breakdown payment is due - I have been with Greenflag for the last 12 months and received a reminder through the post "Recovery Plus" at £63.60 pa - this is taking into account that I called them out once last year - so receive 0 years no call out discount.

In the meantime, I checked via Quidco and see that the "standard rate" is £66.78 - but Quidco entitles me to £30 cashback

So - is it acceptible to cancel my on-going "continuous payment" (which, to be honest - I don't think that I even agreed to !!) and to open a new policy - saving me over £26 ?

No reason why not. I suggest that you phone to lapse the current cover from the renewal date, as those continuous payment authorities can be a bit of a pain.

You can then take out the new arrangement as you wish. Not knowing much about Green Flag breakdown, do you have to declare the call out and if so would they increase the standard rate.
