Hi everyone,
I wonder if anyone else has had a problem like the one I have at the minute. I am in the armed forces and my car is insured at the base and is kept there overnight and for 90% of the year, however when I try to add a correspondence address Esure wanted an extra £470 for the 10% of the time that my car will be there. How can this even be justified? If someone lived in a 'safe' part of the UK, drives into the a city centre for work and leaves their car there they're not penalised for parking in a high risk zone.
Cars are used to transport people about the country and why is it that some insurance companies want to take the higher risk post code whilst some don't, easy GREED pure and simple. Why don't the regulators sort this out and standardise the system?
I would be interested if anyone else has had this problem and if the insurance companies changed their minds if they threatened to leave?
