Thanks for the recommendation, I phoned up handy moves and there prices were great. I was quoted for 8 hours which was £470 and the job only took 5 hours and I only had to pay 300. The two guys that came were excellent, they were friendly and done the job quickly and took care of my fragile stuff.

Do you know, although I have moved house three times (not counting my initial move out from my parents' home) I have never used a removals service.

The company I used was very good. Their quote was the cheapest around by some distance, which made me a bit sceptical but my cash situation forced my hand. It was the first time I'd used a removal company so I was a bit nervous about moving house but when the guys turned up they were very friendly and effecient. I would recommend them to anyone.
