Hi lexigirl & runningsmooth.
Thanks for your posts and comments. I’ve been speaking to the credit card team here about this over the past few days. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
Barclaycard took the decision to 'test' an Amazon voucher offer (and now £40 ‘cashback’) as an exclusive incentive to customers who applied directly through their website. We do display the £40 ‘cashback’ offer in the card details on our credit card comparison tables but were unable to secure this exclusive for our customers. Obviously, this isn’t something we have any control over – that’s Barclaycard’s decision.
The purpose of our site is to help you see the whole of the market and make an informed decision – to help choose the product that’s right for you. We're not owned by a bank or an insurance company and we don't offer products or prices - these come from 3rd party suppliers. We’re sorry you feel we’ve let you down - it’s obviously not our intention. As you’d expect, the team work very hard behind the scenes to bring you the best available deals - including the many market-leading credit card exclusives that we’ve brought you this year. We'll continue to do our utmost to bring you - our customers - the best possible deals.
Many thanks again for the feedback - we'll certainly use it to inform improvements we make to our service and site in the coming months. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line at the email address below. I’ll be more than happy to look into it for you.
