    Hi lexigirl & runningsmooth.

Thanks for your posts and comments. I’ve been speaking to the credit card team here about this over the past few days. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.

Barclaycard took the decision to 'test' an Amazon voucher offer (and now £40 ‘cashback’) as an exclusive incentive to customers who applied directly through their website. We do display the £40 ‘cashback’ offer in the card details on our credit card comparison tables but were unable to secure this exclusive for our customers. Obviously, this isn’t something we have any control over – that’s Barclaycard’s decision.

The purpose of our site is to help you see the whole of the market and make an informed decision – to help choose the product that’s right for you. We're not owned by a bank or an insurance company and we don't offer products or prices - these come from 3rd party suppliers. We’re sorry you feel we’ve let you down - it’s obviously not our intention. As you’d expect, the team work very hard behind the scenes to bring you the best available deals - including the many market-leading credit card exclusives that we’ve brought you this year. We'll continue to do our utmost to bring you - our customers - the best possible deals.

Many thanks again for the feedback - we'll certainly use it to inform improvements we make to our service and site in the coming months. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line at the email address below. I’ll be more than happy to look into it for you.

I've just checked this a second ago. You no longer get £50 Amazon, but you do get £40 off your balance transfer admin fee if you go direct to Barclaycard (I get see it on this website)!

Is it just me or does this make a mockery of the claim on MoneySupermarket's home page that; "The price you see is the price you pay. You don't need to go direct and you won't get a better deal doing so."?

Angry [:@] GET AN EXTRA £50 AMAZON VOUCHER FROM BARCLAYCARD FROM THEIR WEB-SITE IF YOU GO DIRECT!

    Hizya,

This is a BIG WARNING for anyone getting a 22 month Barclaycard platinum from MoneySupermarket (like me on the weekend).

Barclaycard are giving away a £50.00 voucher if you go to their site direct. It's not mentioned anywhere on the MoneySupermarket site and I only found out down the pub Saturday night (turned out one of me mates had got the same Barclaycard as me on the same day - but they're in for a voucher for 50 quid!)

I didn't check the Barclaycard web-site because I thought MoneySupermarket have the best best deals - NOW I FEEL BLOODY TRAGIC, NOT EPIC!

    It's such a stitch up!

I'm in a for morning of arguing with Barclaycard to get my £50 (sounds fun), but If you're getting a Barclaycard make sure you go to them direct - YOU'LL GET A MUCH BETTER DEAL!
