Can anyone help?

We are SWALEC customers who currently have a gas prepayment meter which, during the winter months, 'eats' about £60 a week! Today I heard, on BBC Breakfast, that there was an EU ruling saying that the exorbitant amounts charged by companies for these meters were illegal and that there was some recourse to claim refunds for monies spent.

Is this a fact and how should we go about this?

I also heard this morning that the charge for removing prepayment meters could also be illegal under the EU regulations.. can anyone confirm if this is true or not?
