I am in need of some advice. I have just worked out how much I am paying in gas (£739) electricity (£728) this year which I am totally gobsmacked with, I need to change to a new supplier so when comparing prices BG keeps coming up, I have read other reviews on this and am somewhat unsure as to go with them as they dont have the best reputation.

Another thing can anyone give me advice on best mortgage deals going for 50k.

We are a BG household and can only praise them!

We have both electricity and gas from them as well as their "HomeCare 200" policy to cover our heating system from breakdowns (and a yearly boiler service).

We also recently used BG to replace our old hot water tank based system with a new condensing combination boiler. They fitted us a really nice Worcester/Bosch boiler that pumps out an amazing amount of hot water and the fitter was very diligent and precise in his work.

Overall I'd thoroughly recommend them as a good company with very competitive prices
