    GAS & ELECTRICITY PRICES

The hot topic of the moment!! I am with e-on but managed to switch to British Gas Dec 2009 last wednesday before it was removed from comparison sites. However e-on have announced that they are not increasing their prices at present but to keep an eye on the market. I have till Wednesday to cancel my switch to British Gas but think it is worth taking a gamble as feel sure e-on will raise their prices within the next month and possibly again at the end of the year. Do you think I am correct in this assumption?

    Re: GAS & ELECTRICITY PRICES

I can't see E.On not raising their prices. This is for three reasons:

    1. Everyone else is doing it because the wholesale prices are rising. In the past, where 1 or 2 go, all follow.

    2. They have removed their capped tariff so no-one else can take it up. The only reason I can see for doing this is because they are about to up their rates. As the cap was higher than their standard rates, removing it and not upping the std rates makes no sense whatsoever.

    3. I have just moved to the now-revoked capped tariff and will be very annoyed if they don't now up their prices!

    Hope this helps...
