    Hello Conmankiller

Would you also know anything about shopping in France. We are sometimes asked if we would like to pay for goods in Sterling or Euros. Is it better to pay in Sterling?

    Hello Conmankiller

Thank you very much for your reply. I thought that was the case but am not knowledgable about this things. You have made a young girl very happy. My daughter was worrying about this.

    Re: Furniture on finance

Hi -- Absolutely, if your Daughter was intending to purchase this subject to finance which for whatever reason has been declined, then she is under no obligation to proceed with the purchase.

It's their own fault for jumping to the wrong assumption and ordering it before finance agreements were given the official approval.

This applies to any goods or services that were to be funded by credit, if the application for credit is not approved. then the sale falls flat on it's face and is deemed as if the sale was not agreed.

    Furniture on finance

My daughter went to buy a sofa from DFS and asked for finance from DFS to fund it. The finance was refused despite her having bought something from them before and paid in full. Because they refused credit she assumed that they could not have the settee. She however received a call saying that the settee had been ordered (the salesman said that this is not normally done without payment sorted out) and they said could she find find another way to fund the cost. Surely this is not right. She has no other way to pay for it and we think that as she was refused the finance they should not have ordered the settee.

    HELP!
