    As someone who had to claim for Icesave, I can tell you that the protection extends to interest earned up to the day before the institution fails. However, you do not receive any interest in the time between when the instution fails and when you receive the compensation

    Does FSCS protection extend to any interest earned up to the point when the institution went belly up or does it simply cover the initial investment ?
