    FSCS and child accounts

If you have an account held in trust for your child (eg Halifax Children's regular saver/save4it) does the child get a separate £50k guarantee, or does one have to consider it part of the adult's own £50k guarantee?

Depends exactly whose name it is in. If it is in the child's name then they get their own £50k limit but if the account is in your name then it will count as part of your £50k.
