I'm 56 years old and within the next few months will be leaving my job and going into business with my partner, so obviously I'll be leaving the company pension.  I've been with the company for 10 years, what are my options with this pension and is the alternative to take out a private pension?  Where will I get advice (free, if possible) about which private pensions are good and which are not?
