There does seem to be talk of this on other forums but my advice for a straight answer would be speak directly to o2 for  clarification.

I did notice on their website that they list quite a few 0845 numbers that are free to call.

Good luck, if you do decide to speak to them please post your findings as I'm sure others will be interested.

    Hi Landshark

Im not sure you understood what I meant.

Carphone Warehouse used to allow you to use your inclusive minutes to call 0845 and 0844 numbers if you had a contract with o2. I had my contract with them for about a year and a half and have been able to call these numbers without incurring the local rate charges but now been told this wouldnt work.

I just wanted to get some sort confirmation as to whether this was true.

    Thanks

Re: Free 0845 and 0844 numbers?

0845 and 0844 numbers are NOT free numbers. These are local rate numbers which many people are being forced to switch to thanks to the spineless and useless OFCOM ar5eholes who decided that too many people were being forced to pay too much for 0870 numbers. There were bansk and other mass corporates who creamed it with these numbers, but small businesses have really been hit hard by this as it was a way of getting some revenue back from time-wasting clients who kept ringing for free advice.

Craphone Whorehouse wouldn't give useful information to anyone if their lives depended on it. You're better off asking a dead hamster. If it is a useful service, then you're likely to be loosing it!

    Free 0845 and 0844 numbers?

    Hi

I recently upgraded my mobile through Carphone warehouse on the 02 network and was told the above numbers would still be free to call, i have since heard that this incentive will be pulled even for existing customers on the plan. Does anyone have any more information on this?

Please tell me Im wrong for thinking this.

    Thanks, shilo
