Fixing credit rating?

    Just be sensible, don't build up debts and pay your bills on time. If you use a credit card or overdraft, you should pay off the balance within a month or two if you can.

    Wow that i didnt know, thanks. Also, other than making sure I meet the deadline for other payments, is there anything else i can do to help try and rebuild my credit rating?

    Hello all

    I have had a black mark on my credit rating for the past year due to being on a repayment plan with Capital One. on the 27th March i managed to clear the outstanding balance, and in 16 days the account will be closed completely, but my question is how long will that remain on my credit rating?

    I have tried looking on experian a number of times, but everytime i try to get my credit score i keep getting an error message, and I just havent had time to call them about it and fix it like the message says, so any help or information would be appreciated.
