Fixing a mortgage for 10 years?

Hi. We have 13 years left on our mortgage and are in our mid-40s, not looking to move. We are currently off our last fixed term and running on the SVR at 3.5%. We are now looking to take another fixed rate. Normally quite happy to take a 4/5 year fixed deal but are considering a 10 year fixed deal as historically the rate of 5.29% seems very attractive when you consider rates have been 8% - 17% during the 80s and 90s. We would be very interested in your general view if this would be shrewd risk to take. Many thanks.
