    Re: Family holiday insurance

I have used Halifax Multi Trip travel insurance for last 3 years.  I usually buy online and never renew when requested.   The renewal price is never as cheap as buying a new policy each year.  I always pay to remove the £50 excess, which means if you had several incidents happen, like you lost a bag and then someone had an injury you don't pay £50 excess for each incident.  I reckon you might pay around £85 for yearly cover.  It is 5 star rated cover and you may get further discounts if you have products with the Halifax already.  Happy holiday

    Family holiday insurance

My husband and I plus our 4 children are going to Lanzarote in July for a family holiday for 2 weeks. Our children are aged 18, 16, 15, and 14. My husband is now aged 65 and we are finding it difficult to get a suitable travel insurance policy. We would need cancellation cover of £6500.  I already have an annual multi-trip policy with Primary Insurance for trips within UK/Europe.

Our daughter aged 16 is also going to Spain for 10 days in the summer for a Duke of Edinburgh expedition and needs insurance cover for that trip though I could arrange single trip cover for her.

Can you suggest an insurer for our family holiday?

    Thanks
