    Re: extra income

    Hi Cheska.58,
Have you ever thought of babysitting, or cleaning, these both pay good rates. You could also get intouch with Offices, that sometimes need people to put data on there computers, or work in call centres, I use to work in a Night Club taking peoples coats, I have also been a cashier in a discoteque, worked in a bar. Shown people, to there seats at a show, you could probably work in a bingo hall or cinema. I know your trying to work from home, there does not seem to be many jobs, except ones that are probably very boring or badly paid. Why dont you ask moneysupermarket if you could be an adviser, I dont know if there advisers get paid or do there jobs voluntary. Good Luck.

    Re: extra income

thanks for the advice but I have a 7 year old daughter so I can't work at night and the idea of working at home is I feel the best.

maybe the data inputing would be feasible.

many thanks for the time reading and replying to my post.

I am still hoping that someone out there would have any more suggestions.

    God bless

    Re: extra income

I read an article just recently about people in a similiar situation. There is a website, but I am unsure of the name but you can basically, list your skills, hours of availability and they provide a match for some work outside of your normal business hours, say 2 hours of work every 2nd evening.
A job such as yours maybe able to bring you in the equivilant of an extra couple of days pay a month. I think it might be possible to google search it, the article was in the metro. This type of extra employment is getting more common as people are beginning to feel the pinch of mounting credit card bills, higher mortgage rate and soon to be council tax rises.
If I can find the website, I will drop back in and paste it in the forum.
Perhaps if you even call the metro they maybe able to tell you. The 2 page article was run around November if that is any help.

Sorry the details were a little confussing, I just can't remember the name of the site of the top of my head.

    Re: extra income

cheska : With your legal & secretarial experience why not advertise a "home will making service" locally ? you probably know how costly it is done through a solicitor. So undercut them, you could visit clients after work to suit your lifestyle and type up all the paperwork once you've got your Daughter off to bed.
A lot of people can't or don't want to afford costly solicitors, and like the security of doing things like this from home... hope you don't mind this suggestion, but if you can do this kind of work for a solicitor I can't see why not for yourself.

    Re: extra income

to all who replied, thank you very much christy, conmankiller and clio. It's very uplifting that a lot of people do care. I am very touched. my only concern is that i know we are not allowed to work for other solicitors even part time so I would be looking at copy typing kind of jobs. am sorry am not trying to be choosy but i know my limitation. I've done print ad modelling long time ago. I would want to do some modelling clothes for mature women if there is a chance again but I've got no connection or I don't know which agency or company to approach. it's kind of scary just surfing the net. I feel so safe to advertise on this site as I know subscribers are legitimate ones. I trust this site.

again, many thanks to all who replied and your understanding.

    God bless

    Re: extra income

Hi cheska, some years ago before I had a computer I used a typing agency run by a lady from home. I only realised a while later that she wasn't just a typing agency. She was effectively a pa from home for certain of her small business customers, fielding their calls and I believe arranging some of their appointments etc. She started off with some low cost local advertising. I won't go on and on as I am sure you have got the drift. All the best, Fedora.

    Hi Clio_16v_Man,

I'm in a similiar situation to Cheska.58, I have searched the metro website and not been able to find the website you refer to. Have you any further details, do you know which section it appeared in or have any ideas for similar websites?

Any further details, very much appreciated.
