Having been made redundant and having been a company car driver since 1971 (and named driver for last 20 years on my wife's insurance for her car), and no "at fault accidents" in last 5 years plus a letter from my old employer confirming the insurance situation, does anyone know an insurer that considers some N C Discount on a car insurance policy?

Churchill gave me some discount for my 2 years claim free as a Company Car Driver. They were a bit picky about the wording of the letter but you should be able to sort it out. You'll need to ring them though.
