Your partner needs to take this up with Esure. If they are cancelling the policy, they have to confirm this in writing and give a minimum of 7 days, so that the policyholder has a chance to resolve matters.

Normally Insurers will issue a couple of letters regarding the payments, before they threaten cancellation. If your partner phones Esure customers services he will find out.

If you want to make sure they Insurance is kept in force, you could always make the payment for him. He would have to phone them and then hand the phone over to you. Esures accounts team should be able to accept a card payment to replace one of the Instalments. Once this is done, Esure can then provide confirmation of cover, to give to the police.

    Esure - are they rubbish???

My partner has his car insurance through esure, he missed a payment just under three weeks ago and fully intended to pay this when he got paid at the end of this month. He has had a reminder letter but that is all.

He was subject to a routine stop by the police today and they checked his details and informed him that he was driving with no insurance! He has now received a fine. He has received no letters from Esure to advise they have cancelled his policy only that one letter which was a reminder and that they valued his custom!

Anyone got any idea of where he goes from here. He is rubbish at phoning and complaining so probably won't get anywhere with Esure. Is he best just to put this down to experience and find a new insurance company and pay this over the top fine?
